For more than a decade, ideas42 has brought a deeper understanding of human behavior – why people do what they do – to improve lives and drive social change. Behavioral science-drawing on psychology, neuroscience, marketing, and economics-offers innovative tools that designers of education-focused workforce development programs can use to develop new programs or improve existing ones. These tools often have an outsized impact relative to their cost. As a nonprofit leader in applied behavioral science, ideas42 has deep experience partnering with post-secondary institutions and others to use behavioral science to improve policies, programs, and systems. With generous funding from Walmart, ideas42 will identify ways in which insights from behavioral science can be used to help education-focused workforce development programs most effectively meet the needs of their participants.
